Terms of Service

Last updated: May 23, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of the website handyacepro.com ("Site") and any handyman services provided by HandyAce ("we", "our", or "us") in the New York City area. By using our Site or hiring us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or our services.

2. About Our Services

HandyAce provides residential handyman services including plumbing repairs, electrical work, carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and general repairs across the five boroughs of New York City.

Some larger or specialized work (master-electrician panel upgrades, full bathroom remodels, structural changes, asbestos or lead-paint abatement) is outside our scope. We will refer you to a licensed specialist when needed.

3. Quotes and Estimates

All quotes are free and provided in writing before any work begins. Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue.

Quotes are based on what we see and what you describe. If we discover hidden conditions during the work (e.g. unexpected water damage, code violations, asbestos), we will stop, explain the situation, and provide a revised quote. You decide whether to proceed.

4. Scheduling and Cancellation

Appointments are scheduled by mutual agreement. We will confirm the time slot in writing (text, email, or via the booking platform you used).

5. Pricing and Payment

Our published prices on handyacepro.com/pricing are flat-rate where listed and include labor for standard jobs. Additional materials are quoted separately.

Payment is due upon completion of the work. We accept cash, Venmo, Zelle, and credit card (3% processing fee applies to card payments).

Jobs over $500 may require a 30% deposit at scheduling, returned/credited if we cancel.

Past-due invoices over 30 days may accrue a late fee of 1.5% per month, the maximum permitted under New York law.

6. Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind our work. If a repair we performed fails due to faulty workmanship within 30 days of service, we will return and fix it at no additional charge.

This warranty does not cover:

7. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure work can be completed safely and efficiently, you agree to:

8. Materials and Supply

You may supply your own fixtures, paint, and materials. If you do, we will install but cannot warrant materials we did not select. We are not responsible for defects or compatibility issues with customer-supplied items.

If we supply materials, the cost will be itemized in the quote with no markup beyond what we paid — you can request receipts.

9. Limitation of Liability

HandyAce takes pride in careful, OSHA-trained work and stands behind every job. In the unlikely event of accidental damage to your property caused by our work, please notify us in writing within 7 days of discovery, and we will work with you in good faith to make it right.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific job in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (lost income, emotional distress, etc.).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or other matters that cannot be legally excluded under New York law.

10. Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint about our work, please contact us first — most issues are resolved within a few days. Email handyacebiz@gmail.com or call (321) 844-2993.

If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, both parties agree to attempt mediation in New York City before pursuing litigation. Unresolved disputes shall be brought in the appropriate court of New York County, NY.

11. Photographs of Completed Work

We may photograph completed work for our portfolio (no people, no addresses, no identifying details visible). If you do not want photos taken of your job, just tell us — no issue.

12. Website Use

The content on this Site (text, images, designs) is the property of HandyAce. You may view, print, and share links freely. You may not copy, modify, or republish our content for commercial use without written permission.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Site or hiring us for new work after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
